One of the worst mistakes I have made in my work life is to have worked in a department (Marketing) with no direction. It happened a few months back in a highly disorganized wanna-grow-big biggest group in one of the oil rich states of middle east.

The actual people who did the work, me being one of them, were jerked around to do this and that, which strayed so much off the original objectives.

In the end, I wasted some of my most productive months, the group disbanded, the department head is direction less (infact what I can say is coward chicken who cannot open his mouth in front of higher management ) atleast to get things for the department sake.

The lack of organization, lack of solid implementation, nepotism..... just some of the reasons why this large corporate in the country remains in the second tier. Just pure crap.

I wish I had been better informed about the existence of these jerks on the market before joining them.
