Used to pay market rate now pay way below, but if you are a new hire you wil get on average $5000-$10000 more than long term employees. We have been told that Unisys is now a "budget" IT outsourcer.
Respect: Used to be very good, now it is just a case of shut up and do what we tell you.
Benefits: Again used to be good but now pretty much nothing.
Job Security: If it wasn't for some of our clients fighting to keep a lot of us from being outsourced to India we would be gone.
Work/Life Balance: Biggest joke out, work 60+hours a week paid for 38, I am in the situation of having too much holidays time and no time to take it. Been told doing too much and not enough study I was also told to make sure my divorce doesn't interfere with my job.
Career Potential: Really good provided I don't wan any more pay, as much responsibility as I want and same pay.
Location: Good for now but trying to get me to move location to higher cost area (for same pay of course)
Co-Worker competence: Mixture, the guys with the experience who are still with the company are great but generally have had the life sucked out of them. New guys are inexperienced and mostly looking to get the hell out.
Work Environment: Constantly hounded by management to cover for the large amount of people leaving
